Worth the Money

Floyd Mayweather has just defeated Juan Manuel Marquez on points. Such a statement does little to display the disparity between the pair. Marquez, a talented and durable fighter, was outclassed, dismantled and dispatched with style by the oh so pretty boy Floyd.

Mayweather was the artist, Marquez the canvas. The Mexican did well to endure 12 rounds and played his part in the absorbing and engaging spectacle but the focus was on the returning showman as he dotted his opponent with jabs, drew blood with a strike to the nose and brushed Marquez' shots aside.

21 months absence did little to dent his confidence, limit his precision, slow his electric hand speed or add uncertainty to his footwork. 'Money' Mayweather was at his hypnotic, ridiculous best.

Pacquiao. Cotto. Mosley. Three possible opponents. One probable result.
